What Causes Dull Pain Behind Knee Along With Swelling?
Question: Hi I have a dull pain in the back of my knee. My right knee is swollen, I'm not having any problems walking but it feels like a muscle cramp.
Brief Answer:
Should rule out baker's cyst or fibroma.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
In your case problems like baker's cyst or fibroma should be ruled out. These benign growths are usual in the back of knee and give such symptoms. So better to rule out that. A physical examination by an orthopedician followed by a X ray and MRI if needed will be helpful to rule out this.
In case of any of these surgical excision will be helpful to relieve from the problems you are having.
So a consultation with an orthopedician is well appreciated.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
