What Causes Dull Pain Below Liver While Bending?

More history needed
Detailed Answer:
Hello Mr XXXXXXX
Thank you for writing to HCM. I hope to answer your question today.
Abdominal pain is one of the most difficult symptom to diagnose for a clinician as there are numerous structures in the abdomen which can give rise to pain. Having said that though, it is very easy to narrow down the structure causing pain with a more detailed history. The site of your pain (right upper abdomen) could be due to some musculoskeletal problem or due to some intra-abdominal organs, specifically the liver and gall bladder.
In order for me to come to a diagnosis I need a little more elaboration of your symptoms, specifically the following questions:
1. Is the pain always there or does it come on only occasionally?
2. What increases or decreases the pain?
3. What effect does eating food have on the pain?
4. Any fever associated with the pain?
5. Any nausea, vomiting or diarrhea with the pain?
6. Any fever?
7. What is your occupation?
Please get back to me at the earliest with these answers and we can discuss your symptoms
Once again, thank you for writing to HCM

Detailed Answer:
Hello Mr XXXXXXX
Thank you very much for getting back to me.
Looking at your history, I do not think there is anything much to worry. It seems like a non-specific pain, not related to anything. If you were to press me for a diagnosis, i would say it is due to stretching of the liver attachments which causes a sharp very short lasting pain. I would not worry about it and I don't think you need any treatment for it. I would advise you do some relaxation exercises which would help in keeping your muscle tone.
Hope this helps and hope you start feeling better. please do not hesitate to contact me further for any clarifications
Have a great day
