What Causes Dull Pain In The Armpit Along With Acid Reflux?
Reflux disorder.
Detailed Answer:
Hello My Dear Patient,
Have gone through your query and i appreciate your concerns.
As per your query most likely your symptoms are due to severe dyspepsia with Gastritis overlapped with acid reflux.
Gatro esophageal reflux disease is a chronic digestive disease. GERD occurs when stomach acid or, occasionally, stomach content, flows back into your food pipe . The backwash irritates the lining of your esophagus and causes, heart burn, chest pain and intense burning sensation in throat. Both acid reflux and heart burn are a part of GERD.The presence of gastritis has proved additive to your symptoms. In normal digestion, the lower esophageal sphincter (LES) opens to allow food to pass into the stomach and closes to prevent food and acidic stomach juices from flowing back into the esophagus. Gastroesophageal reflux occurs when the XXXXXXX is weak or relaxes inappropriately, allowing the stomach's contents to flow up into the esophagus. If not treated, chronic acid reflux can injure the esophagus and, in some people, progress to a precancerous condition known as Barrett’s esophagus.
Tests suggested are-
Manometry-This test allows to determine if muscle disorders exist in the esophagus, thus making it difficult to push food and liquids down into the stomach.
Endoscopy
Now lets move to your treatment-
See as the name suggests ACID REFLUX should be treated in two phases-
1)Control production of acid-For which you should take Omeprazole .However its just a basic drug hence better substitutes like Rabeprazole 20 mg twice daily should be used.
2)To prevent the acid formed inside stomach to reflux back into esophagus-I would suggest you to add Levosulpiride. Itis a prokinetic drug and is very effective in controlling reflux of acid back into esophagus.A better way is to take it with Rabeprazole trials have shown that its very effective when combined with Rabeprazole. You may need a prescription.
3)Sucralfate is used to treat and prevent ulcers.Sucralfate works by forming a coating' over the ulcer. This protects the ulcer from the acid of the stomach, allowing it to heal. Sucralfate is best taken with water on an empty stomach 1 hour before meals and at bedtime. It should be taken daily by you and would help in healing ulcers.
General precautions are-
Follow a bland diet (low acid levels, low in fat, not spicy)
Eat frequent, small meals.
Lose weight.
Avoid the use of alcohol, tobacco, and caffeine.
Do not eat food less than 2 hours before bedtime.
Raise the head of the bed before sleeping.
Avoid clearing of the throat.
Hope my answer was helpful.
Please do let me know if you need more details.

Detailed Answer:
Yes very likely.
I would say 99% chances are that its gastric as cardiac origin of pain is very unlikely at a age of 27 unless you are a chronic smoker or have strong family history of cardiac disease.
Thanks
Everyone keeps saying gastric, but I just want to make sure.
follow up.
