Posted on Wed, 18 Jun 2014
Question: I have a slight hearing loss when I tilt my head to the left. And yesterday when I jumped, I lost hearing. (Not so much lost completely, just muffled, or like I'm underwater) Super confused. Also I feel very congested. Like a stuffy nose all the time. Not even close to sick, but I have like pressure and feels like I can't blow my nose

Brief Answer:
Get your ears examined: Wax/Eustachian Tube Block

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

1. The most common cause for this is ear wax build-up. An Eustachian Tube Dysfunction (ETD) is likely if the ear canal has no wax. In such cases, the ear drum looks dull. Both these are easily treated.

2. Hence, get your ears examined by an Otoscope. It will help diagnose your problem easily.

3. There are other tests for hearing that can be done (such as Audiometry), if required.

4. Kindly let me know the progress.

I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any further questions, I will be available to answer them.

Regards.
