What Causes Electric Shock Like Feeling And Numbness In Face And Left Hand?

I am 21,male.
I suffer from Illness Anxiety Disorder.
My psychiatrist prescribed me Shine 25mg and Zapiz 0.25mg.
I did go to a neurologist twice in 2 months and he did some hammer test and said everything was okay.
I fear brain tumor.
I did a CT SCAN with contrast last May and the results came back normal.
I am having jerks sometimes when I try to sleep.
My neurologist and psychiatrist said these were normal.
But I have been anxious about it.
Also, from today I am having electric shock like feeling sometimes and also number type feeling in my right face and left hand.
Now I called my psychiatrist and he told me to visit a neurologistics to see if there is organicity but he told me mother that he said that just to calm me down and he felt no need for visiting a neuro.
But I am still worried.
Also my neuro had said that in my age, brain tumors don't grow that fast like in 6-8 months
Is that true?
Tumours doesn't grow fast at your age.
Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for asking from HCM
I can understand your problems. It is common in a lot of individuals with anxiety to develop fear of some serious illness like in your case fear of brain tumour. First of all you have to accept that you've visited a psychiatrist as well as a neurologist and everything came normal. Every investigation came normal, so why would they hide anything. You are absolutely normal and the worries of illness are nothing but part of anxiety more specifically health anxiety or hypochondrical ideas.
Brain tumours doesn't grow very fast and the tumours doesn't present with electric sense like symptoms commonly. Your imaging investigations also came normal so there is no need to worry at all. Try to ignore any mild bodily symptom like electric sensations, jerks during sleep etc. All these symptoms are occurring due to anxiety only and not due to any organic thing.
Please continue to visit your psychiatrist regularly and this will help to reassure you as well as will reduce your anxiety with time. Proper medicinal treatment and reassurance therapy result in best outcomes.
Thanks, I hope this helps you. Please don't hesitate to ask again for more doubts.
Take care

NO need to go for repeat CT
Detailed Answer:
Hello again,
Repeat CT at frequent intervals is not advised because CT itself exposes individual to radiations which might prove harmful at later age. If your CT was normal about 8 moths back and there are no significant symptoms then NO NEED to go for repeat testing. Try to relax your self.
Thanks, Hope this helps.

Even you said it doctor.
So how is it possible what you said about if there are no significant symptoms after 8 months after ct, but tumors at my age don't grow that fast.

Detailed Answer:
Hi again
First of all I'd like to tell you that you can clarify your doubts without hesitation. I don't find you rude.
I said that there are no symptoms in you that suggest any need to get repeat CT scan done. If you had any lesion in brain then you would have developed weight loss, seizures, severe headache etc symptoms.
The symptoms you are showing are not common symptoms of brain tumour. So please try to avoid thinking excessively. You are absolutely normal.
Thanks.
Still have doubts please ask again.
Take care
