Question: I have intense electrical shocks on my left forearm to my wrist and ring and little finger. It is constant with intense shocks at times. I had a laminectomy at c-4/c-6 almost 3 months ago. This came on with in a couple of days after and had been constant since. I'm having a hard time dealing with the pain.

Brief Answer:
Full reevaluation is necessary.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for writing to us.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

In your case, besides trying to control pain with meds, a reevaluation clinically by your Surgeon and imaging studies of your cervical spine ( MRI and dynamic x-rays ) are necessary to get a correct diagnosis of your current condition.

Failed surgery, instability of your cervical spine ( spondylolysthesis ), herniated disc disease, etc. are conditions to consider and investigate further.

Treatment depends on diagnosis and consists on antineuralgic drugs use, physical therapy and even surgery.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards.
