What Causes Elevated GGTP And Alkaline Phosphatase Levels?
Question: Hello doctor, i got NCC in childhood and again got a seizure before 1.5 yrs since then i am having tegrital 900 mg and frisium 20 mg. i am also a hypothyroidism patient having thyronorm 75 daily.
I got my liver profile done and values of alkaline phosphate and GGPT came very high, what can be done . Is it due to medicines I am having regurarly.please help

Attached ultrasound report - there is mild diffuse infiltration of liver. And i used to take alcohol but stopped completely since 1 month

Alkaline phosphatase and GGTP are only mildly raised.
Yes this could be due to the effect of Tegretol.
Repeat liver function test after 2 weeks.
If the liver enzymes are progressively increasing then you may have to stop the medications.
