Brief Answer:
May result in calcium
oxalate deposition
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic.
Elevated calcium oxalate in urine means that at some point it may start depositing in the
kidney and may lead to formation of calcium oxalate stones. It is also possible that you already have calcium oxalate stones. If calcium oxalate is >240 mg in a 24 hr sample, then certain conditions need to be ruled out that can cause it. The conditions are:
hyperparathyroidism, distal
renal tubular acidosis,
sarcoidosis, excess vit D intake, excess calcium intake, thiazide diuretics.
Lasix can cause increased excretion of calcium in urine. You are also taking
calcium supplements which may be causing calcium excretion and may precipitate calcium stones.
Hyaline casts are the most common type of casts seen on
urinalysis and in small quantities (1 cast per lpf) are not clinically relevant. If it is seen in greater quantities, may be associated with any condition that can cause
proteinuria like
fever, exercise or kidney disease.
A slightly high CO2 level may just be a deviation. Otherwise alveolar ventilation may be low to cause it. If it is causing
respiratory acidosis (low pH of blood) then it may investigated for causes.
Hope it helps.
