Question: I am experiencing a pattern effect in both eyes for two days now. Comes and goes usually lasting 20 minutes each time. Makes it hard to see or drive a vehicle when it happens. Brief Answer:
Blood pressure changes and heart rhythm should be assessed first.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your query and understand your concerns.

Besides a new evaluation by an eye Doctor, there is need to consider other conditions that may be related to your symptoms.

Episodic vision problems accompanied by ringing in ears may be caused also by changes in blood pressure, especially arterial hypertension, so, there is need to monitor your blood pressure for a couple of days.

A Holter monitor could be used for this purpose, and it may asses other possible conditions, besides blood pressure changes, such irregular heart rhythm.

Transient ischemic attack also should be considered, if there are present other symptoms such difficulties of speech, any arms or legs temporary weakness.

In conclusion, I suggest you to discuss with your primary care Doctor about monitoring your blood pressure and heart rhythm, and to prescribe an evaluation by an eye Doctor, in order to achieve a correct diagnosis of your concerns.

Treatment ways should be clear after this evaluation.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.
