Brief Answer:
Mostly weak lower esophageal sphincter cause this.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

At her age, mostly weak lower esophageal sphincter cause this.Even hiatus hernia where food pipe and stomach junction herniates up in chest is common at her age.

Investigations like barium swallow and esophagoscopy can confirm this.

Antiemetic medication increasing tone of lower esophageal sphincter can help her.
Gasex tablets can reduce gas.Lung aspiration is always feared in such cases.

Splitting meals into small and having walk after meals can help her.

Hope this helps. Please ask if there are doubts.Regards.
