Brief Answer:
Suggestions on DPT vaccine
Detailed Answer:
Hi....
1. Regular dose of DPT vaccine is known to cause some pain and fever. It's an expected symptom.
2. Fever medicine can be used for pain too. I suggest you give the same medicine in the suggested dose every 4-6th hourly.
3. You can give some cold compresses in the injection site.

Brief Answer:
It usually lasts 3-4 days
Detailed Answer:
Hi...
1. Fever may last 24-48 hours.
2. Pain may last 3-4 days.
3. Swelling may last a week.
4. Paracetamol dose is 1g/kg/dose every 4-6th hourly if pain or temperature greater than 100F.
If you can get back to me with weight of kid, I will suggest you the appropriate dose too.

Brief Answer:
Probably this is because of pain
Detailed Answer:
Hi...this jerking reflex is probably because of pain if it has started only after vaccination.
But if the jerks are occurring since long, we need to rule out myoclonic jerks, a type of seizures.
