Hello
Welcome to Health care Magic
I am Dr. Dadapeer K, an Ophthalmologist and I will be answering your question.
I reviewed your history.
The symptoms mentioned by you and the treatment you have taken eye infection in the form of chronic conjunctivitis.
Yes you are right 32 days is a long time but viral infections tend to run for 1-3 months and they require treatment for long time also.
If possible do send me a photo of the affected eye and the examination reports send by your doctor so that I confirm the diagnosis and advice you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your questions.
Thank you

Thank you for your answer. This is pretty much what the doctor said to me also. I just never heard of a virus in someone's eyes before after having an eye infection. My question is then is should I still take the pen VK oral being that I have a virus. Is there anything I can put in my eyes to relieve the discomfort. How would I get a virus in my eyes and can a virus cause damage to my eyes? Is this contagious to anyone else can people in my family catch the virus from me. It went from an eye infection to a virus she said. I have been to my opthmologist four times so I was just looking for a second opinion I have never had this before. I got my I infection from my grandson who had strep infection in his eye his ophthalmologist said he got it from when he had strep throat and it went into his eyes everyone in the family got it also but there's all went away after their antibiotic treatment I am the only one Who still has a problem with their eyes. So basically I understand the infection part I just would like to have more information about the virus what caused it how long that's the will last is it contagious will it damage my eyes and what can I do for the discomfort thank you.
Brief Answer:
Viral infections are common eye infections.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thank you for the follow up question.
I reviewed your history.
I can understand your concerns.
Viral infections of the eye are common and they spread from infected persons by close contact, droplets, discharge....
Most of the viral infections are self limiting and get resolved without treatment.
But in some they penetrate deeper and ellicit immunological reaction.
In these cases they run chronic course of 1-3 months.
Oral antibiotics are necessary to prevent secondary infection.
The eye drops are in correct line of treatment and you need to continue them.
I can assure you though it takes time you will be fine. As this can spread to others as long as there is discharge avoid close contact with others.
Hope this answers your question.
