Suggest Treatment For Chronic Conjunctivitis

Eye question please. My regular doctor is on vacation right now. I have had chronic conjunctivitis, and it's either back or there is also a lot of pink eye going around our area. Either way is it safe to just get a refill on my TOBRADEX and try that until my doctor is back next week? Or should I go into the minor care?

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello
Welcome to Health care Magic.

I am Dr. DADAPEER K, an Ophthalmologist and I answer health problems related to eye.

I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that you are having pink eye. This requires treatment by the use of antibiotic eye drops. Tobradex is an antibiotic- steroid eye drop. Steroids should better be avoided in infective conjunctivitis. Hence you need to use only antibiotic eye drops like Tobramycin or Moxifloxacin.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and prescription of drugs.

Hope the information is helpful to you.
Do write back to me for further questions.
