What Causes Excessive Flatulence?
Any changes in diet?
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for the query.
I have reviewed this information fully. Excessive flatulence is primarily caused by diets that produce excess gas. These include beans, lentils, vegetables such as cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, etc. Also, foods with artificial sweeteners are more likely to cause this as well. There are also disease conditions such that might cause this but they are less common.
I will suggest you go through your diets and eliminate all recent additions and food stuffs especially those cited above. Also, avoid eating fatty meals, mixing many different food types and temporarily reduce foods rich in fibers. These measures offer great help to most of my patients. If these measures fail to adequately relief your symptoms, or they become severe, I will suggest that you get a doctors’ appointment for further evaluation.
I hope this addresses your worries. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me if need be.
