What Causes Excessive Sweating After Mild Exertion?

Question: After some mild exertion I began to sweat profusely on my forehead and on the base of my scalp at the hair line. My blood pressure is normally 70/120. What causes this?
The exertion came from unloading some things from my car. There were a few boxes and several bags. None of them were exceptionally heavy but I did make 6 or 7 trips from my garage into my house.

Hello!
Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!
Your symptoms could be related to low blood glucose or any other metabolic disorders.
For this reason, I would recommend consulting with your attending physician for a careful physical exam and some tests:
- a resting ECG
- fasting glucose and HbA1C
- glucose tolerance test
- a complete blood count for anemia
- thyroid hormone levels for possible thyroid dysfunction
- kidney and liver function tests
- blood electrolytes, including calcium plasma levels for possible imbalance.
You should discuss with your doctor on the above issues.
Kind regards,
