What Causes Extreme Burning, Knotty And Sharp Pains In Stomach Area

Question: Symptoms included extreme burning, knotty, sharp pains in my stomach area just below my sternum. The burning sensation is sometimes felt in my chest area, like heart burn. My stools seem to be just straight stomach bile and acid and happen often, but are not large. I kinda feel nauseous, but have not vomited. I get hot flashes and then chills. The pain usually lasts several hours, but not more than a day. They have been occurring more frequently lately, once every week or two, as opposed when I would first experience them every few months.
Brief Answer:
symptoms are suggesting severe gastritis
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your query.
I think I would be able to help you.
The symptoms of the query are quite suggestive of severe gastritis.
Abdominal pain with nausea may be very symptoms that one may have in case of gastritis.
I would suggest that you try to get a prescription for omeprazole and domperidom. An addition of sucralfate syrup may help.
In addition, try to avoid oily and spicy food. Sleeping with mildly raised head end will also help.
I have tried to make it as simple as possible. I hope that the information helps you. Please feel free to contact us for more information. Best of luck. Dr Mittal.
