
What Causes Extreme Joint Pain And Swelling?

Question: I have been going through a series of test for my autoimmune system. I am looking throughmy test results and they said that I have an RA Factor of 35, a sedimantation rate of 28 and Thyroid peroxidase ABS of 130. I have been having extreme joint pain and swelling
, breathing and chest pain and eye & skin irratation. Fatigue has been a huge and issue along with headaches and trouble focusing. I have crohns is this all realted to my crohns. My doctors suspects Lupus or RA. What would be your best guess?

Well looking into the query I will like to tell you that most of the autoimmune diseases have overlapping features .So , by these features it will be difficult to say anything . But yes in my opinion there is a very high proabability of IBD associated arthritis as you are having crohns disease and you should be tested for HLAB27 gene for that .
You should discuss to your doctor regarding the IBD associated spondyloarthropathy as it needs to be ruled out before anything else .
