headache and legs swelling and lower back
Brief Answer:
Possible head injury and neurologic injury
Detailed Answer:
It sounds like you had a significant accident with multiple injuries. You may, in fact, have hit your head and had some injury that was not detected on the initial evaluation. While everyone is focusing on your back and legs, the symptoms of headache and feeling cold all of the time deserve some attention.
When a female states that they 'feel cold all the time', the first thing that we consider checking is your thyroid function. Thyroid disease is common and much more common in women than in men. This is easy to check with a blood test.
Also, there may have been injury during the accident that caused problems related to temperature instability. This might very well be related to a head injury. You need:
1. A visit with your primary doctor to check labs including your thyroid
2. They need to order imaging of your head - you had a traumatic accident and have a headache. This cannot be ignored
Does this help?

Brief Answer:
You need to see a primary doctor
Detailed Answer:
Welcome back Dear,
If you have a primary doctor, please make an appointment. Make sure that they address:
1. Thyroid issues - if your thyroid is not behaving normally, then you might feel 'cold' all the time
2. The back pain and leg swelling. This could be related to your thyroid and not your accident. This would be easy to sort out
3. Since you haven't mentioned, I am assuming you are not pregnant because women get leg swelling in pregnancy too.

Brief Answer:
An orthopedic surgeon or neurosurgeon
Detailed Answer:
If there is no concern about your thyroid, then I would recommend that you get a neurosurgery consult. They can address the back as well as address whether or not there are neurologic explanations for the swelling and feeling of coldness.
I hope that this helps and I wish you the best of luck!
