What Causes Fever And Headache In Children?
Question: My son is suffering with fever and headache since yesterday evening. I gave him p250 tablet. He is 4 years.fever is getting reduced for sometime.but again it is getting increased. Need your suggestion and medicines to be used..

I have gone carefully through the details and understand your concern. Most often such symptoms are due to viral infections.
However, since headache is present, you should take him to a doctor to get him evaluated. If he has cough give steam inhalation to your child. Water vapor will reach deep inside and would help in diluting the cough and thus would provide relief. You need to give P250 or Paracetamol Three times a day after food to bring down the temperature as well as for the headache.
If paracetamol is not effective in bringing down the temperature, you need to use Meftal-P (Mefenamic acid) which is more effective but is a prescription medication. Also use tepid sponging.
It should spontaneously resolve in 5-7 days in case of a viral infection.
