What Causes Fever And Left-sided Radiating Pain From The Jaw To The Arm?
Question: I'm submitting on behalf of my mother. 58 years old.
Thursday night/Friday morning she experienced symptoms indicative of a heart attack. Initially felt like bad indigestion, progressed to chest feeling crushed, to sharp pain in jaw, down the shoulder into the left arm. The following morning she notified me of this experience with lingering aches in the aforementioned areas and a BP in the 180's.
Proceeded to ER (approximately 12 hours after the event) they advised ECG and cardio blood tests were good, discharged with Zantac.
Approximately 6 hours after arriving home last night, she developed a fever and shortness of breath. These have been intermittent for the past 24 hours. The fever doesn't exceed 101. In my personal research, sounds like pericarditis...?
The ER was not of any help to us and I'm not sure what immediate threat may exist. Or would the best course of action be rest and to wait it out?

1. Myocardial Ischeamia
2. Viral Myocarditis
3. Pericarditis
Considering her symptoms they are typically suggestive of Angina and should not be overlooked and should be investigated.
Considering fever into picture yes these all symptoms could be mimicked by viral myocarditis or pericarditis also.
For evaluation follow tests will be required
Echocardiography, cardiac Stress test and basic blood work. For all this its advisable to personally consult a cardiologist for through evaluation and treatment plan as early possible.
Whether a threat is there or not that can only be determined after investigations.
