Brief Answer:
It happens

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this accident your son suffered and the fever you have reported today. Fever in gross terms means that there is an inflammatory reaction going on. With the bruises that he sustained, this could be the possible explanation of his symptoms.

However, put an eye on the nature of his bruises to make sure there is no fluid drainage and redness which could signal an infection. Infections often present with fevers as well.

In all, it is possible to have fever 48hours after sustaining bruises. Put an eye on the bruises to make sure there are no signs suggestive of a possible infection. If there is redness or pus drainage, please seek medical attention. Pain and fever relievers like Tylenol and ibuprofen would be very helpful.

I hope this helps. I wish your son well. Thank you so much for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications should need be.
