What Causes Fever With Headache Along With Persistent Cough And Cold?

Question: i am suffering with shivering often and I have fever with severe head ache , also I sweat and I have cough and cold? will it be a viral infection? what else could it be?

Your symptoms of fever, severe headache, sweating and coughing with cold are signs of viral infection.

I advise to:
- get more fluids (tea, water, juice)
- chicken soups, lemon juice, turmeric and ginger can also help
- take cold medications
- if you'll have high fever for more than 3 days (higher than 40), then, should consult with your doctor as you might need prescription medications
- if the cough is not associated with phlegm, then, cold medications will help ease it; otherwise, carbocystein can help reduce the phlegm and ease coughing

Wait for a few more days, if the symptoms will persist or aggravate, then, should consult with your physician for further evaluation and specific treatment.
