What Causes Flushing Sounds In Head?

I have recently noticed a flushing sound in my head over the last couple of months usually at at night. It sounds feels like a fizzing sound.. as if there is a blockage in one of my vessels . I have no other symptoms - no dizziness or headaches and am 51.I did lose my vision a few years ago briefly while driving my car and was admiited to hospital for a suspected TIA and a MRI arthrogram was clear .
I recently stopped aspirin as I had an inflamed stomach from taking aspirin.
What do you think Dr ?
Possibility of tinnitus if MR angiography was normal.
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXX,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Flushing , hissing sounds in head or ear may be due to tinnitus. Many causes may lead to such a symptom. Associated symptoms of earache, hearing loss may point to some local etiology.
In view of suspected TIA it is important to rule out and investigate regarding vascular cause of tinnitus, hypertension. Repeat brain angiography may be needed to look for any arterio-venous malformation.
You can again start aspirin in 3-4 weeks later after healing of ulcer.
You can visit a neurologist or ENT specialist for proper examination, evaluation and treatment accordingly.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
