What Causes Food Stuck In Throat Feeling And Chest Pain?
For past 5-6 days, i feel my food stuck in the throat while eating. It occurs at the lower middle portion of my chest. A week ago, i also suffered from stomach pain to which i was suggested by doctor that i had acidity. I also take an antacid syrup after eating. My stomach is fine now but chest pain still exists during eating. Rest of the time, am totally fine. There is also no breathing problem. Is it something i should worry about or its just because of acidity?
Thanks,

Detailed Answer:
Hi friend
Welcome to Health Care Magic
It is likely to be a problem of the food pipe (Oesophagus), stomach and/or the sphincter at the junction.
When the food sticks, it may mean an ulcer or tumour; occasionally a disorder of movement of the oesophagus…
The only sure way is to have an Upper Gastro Intestinal Endoscopy (“Gastroscopy”)
Appropriate treatment demands accurate diagnosis
Diagnosis demands examination; probably investigation too
GET EXAMINED – preferably by a Gastroenterologist (‘stomach specialist’)
In the meantime, antacid like magaldrate / Proton Pump Inhibitor like Omeprazole or / H2 antagonist like ranitidine or Prokinetic agents like Domperidone – can help
Discuss with your GP and get appropriate prescription…
Good luck
God bless you
