Question: Male (55) diagnosed with Leiden V a year ago, along with DVT. Has taken Xarelto, now on Pradaxa. Has smoked for the past 6 yrs. For the past two days, has been unable to move right foot (where DVT was diagnosed). Does he need emergency care asap?

Clarification: DVT diagnosed on right leg. Unable to move right foot- related problem?

Brief Answer:
It can be related to DVT or some injuries.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, dear
I have gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.

He has history of deep vein thrombosis in right leg.
So there is chance that deep vein thrombosis may recur at any site. It can in right leg or foot or even in left leg or foot.

If he has any history of trauma or injury then it can be some muscular problem.

So its better to consult your doctor once and get examined.

Hope I have answered your question.
If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer.
