What Causes Frequent Urination And Abdominal Pain?

default
Posted on Tue, 7 Oct 2014
Question: I have been having problems with frequent urination. 1 urinalysis and 1 urine culture showed rbc's in urine while a subsequent urinalysis and culture was clean and free of rbc's. No infection detected in any of the 4. Frequent urination and pain in my abdomen that is relieved when urinating. Today I noticed a little off white chunk of something after urination. Negative for stones and infection. It was not vaginal discharge as it was solid but slimy. It was about the size of a XXXXXXX and not bright white, but kind of off white in color. What is this? I have a urology appointment scheduled tomorrow but I want to make sure that I get the right answers as before I was mislead about my health when something wasnt right only to have to have surgery because I wasn't correctly told the right information.

Brief Answer:
Cystitis .

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
You have got frequent urination and pain in your abdomen that is relieved when urinating. Today you also noticed a little off white chunk of something after urination.
This is suggestive that you are suffering from Cystitis , that is infection of the urinary bladder along with secondary changes, hence you are getting these typical symptoms and white chunk- this is desqamated part of the mucosa of the bladder or urethra. This is not really a serious matter.

Anyways, you are getting examined by an Urologist tomorrow who would order some investigations and may be you have to undergo cysto-urethroscopy examination.

I hope this helps you.
