Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related doubts
I can understand your concern. Paxidep is Paroxetine and the drug is known to result in urinary retention but sometimes results in increased frequency of urination.
Sometime in high doses both Paroxetine and Duloxetine result in peripheral edema. Please provide me details about doses of the drugs you are taking
What is the drug dose of Paroxetine and Duloxetine you are taking?
Thanks.
Please provide more details in follow up

Sir the dosage of drugs as follows paxidep cr 12.5 (1-0-1) duloxetine 40 (1-0-1) and dothitab 25mg (1-0-1) Sir is the symtoms related to keydney disease pls ans
Brief Answer:
Taking all these drugs together might lead to slight edema
Detailed Answer:
Hello again
The dose of Paroxetine you are taking is 25 mg and this is not a high dose. Duloxetine 40 is also not a high dose. Dothiapine is also in low dose. But taking all these drugs together might lead to slight oedema in extremities. This is a normal thing and avoid getting worried for that.
These are not symptoms of kidney diseases. Peripheral oedema sometimes denotes postural hypotension.
If you have any doubts then you can get renal function tests (Blood urea, serum creatine and random blood sugar) and urine analysis done. This will rule out any renal issue.
Thanks. Take care

Brief Answer:
Doses can be reduced over 3 months.
Detailed Answer:
Hello again
In my opinion you can taper the drug doses in 3 months without worries. You have been advised to take 12.5 mg Paroxetine in morning but I'd advise you to take this dose in evening instead of morning. After a month the dose of Duloxetine can be reduced to 30 mg per day followed by complete stoppage after next 15 days. Dothiapine can be stopped easily without worries. After about 2 months take 12.5 mg Paroxetine only and you can stop it after one more month.
Dose reduction in this manner would not cause much withdrawal symptoms.
Thanks.
