What Causes Gas And Frequent Bowel Movements While On CholestOffplus?

Question: Hi
I have been taking supplements CholestOffplus for a while, but have noticed extreme gas and frequent bowel movements, is this a side affect?

Kindly answer the following to advise accordingly

CholestOffplus works by lowering the absorption of cholesterol across the intestines so frequent bowel movements and associated dyspepsia is to be expected with such a pharmacologic action. PPIs, anti spasmodic medication can be added for 10 days to see for improvement. However , if the symptoms persist or worsen then you can stop the medication and ask your doctor for allopathic options such as statin drugs that have proven to be beneficial towards lowering mortality rates in a number of trials.
