Question: I have had a sinus infection for 2 weeks. It is better now, but when I awoke this a.m., the inside of my right nostril has turned gray in color. Is this a concern?

Brief Answer:
?? Nasal polyps,will require visual exam;if not,then just infection-related

Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. A greyish inside of a nostril is usually seen when a nasal polyps is found, which can be either pink, red or grey.

They are harmless and usually go away with simple nasal sprays, so if at all you do notice swelling in the region as well, then you may have to report to a doctor for an examination and confirmation of diagnosis. But if there is no swelling, then the discolouration should subside on its own.

All in all, nothing that should cause any concern ma'am. I hope you find my response both helpful and informative. Please do not hesitate to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.

Best wishes.
