What Causes Hard Bump Below Kneecap?
Photo is needed to answer this question.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for the query.
Can you please attach a photo of it? It will greatly help with proper diagnosis.
Since when you have this bump? Is there similar bump on the other leg?
Bump in this location can be a benign skin lesion (like lipoma) or just a bone structure which is not a pathology.
Lipoma is usually movable bump. It never gives any pain. It slowly grows.
Bone part is usually hard as a bone and not movable. The only reason to concern is rapidly growing bump. Other cases are rather not serious.
I suggest you to keep it under observation. If it will be getting bigger, consult your doctor and have an ultrasound done.
Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
Sebaceus cyst.

This is a sebaceus cyst. Benign lesion. It is filled with whitish masses and covered with a capsule. It should be removed as it tends to get infected and turn into an abscess. Please consult general surgeon.
It has to be removed completely.
Detailed Answer:
It could pop up. But it will regrow until the capsule wont be removed. Its is not concerning. It just may cause some pain if will be left alone. But nothing more.
