What Causes Headache Behind The Head, Cold And Cough?
I've had a cold for over a week now which started lasted Thursday. On Tuesday and Wednesday I felt pretty much recovered and quite well just with some slight congestion, but on Thursdsy this week I woke up feeling a little worse mainly more congested with mucus and a slight chesty cough. But now on Friday(today) i've started to get bad head pains around the back of my head and my sinuses. So i'm not sure what is going on and I don't understand how my cold went from better to worse could it be sinitutus? I tried ibuprofen an hour ago and it has done basically nothing what else can I do?
Kind Regards,

Steam inhalation is the mainstay of treatment.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have gone carefully through the details and understand your concern. Most often such symptoms are due to viral infections and antibiotics are ineffective in such cases. Irrespective of use of antibiotics, it usually spontaneously resolves in 5-7 days. When the infection is localized to the sinuses or air pockets of our skull, it is known as sinusitis. A clinical evaluation and a X ray of Paranasal septum would be needed to be able to confirm whether you have sinusitis.
Take steam inhalation. It helps in reducing the congestion. Water vapor will reach deep inside and would help in diluting the cough and thus would provide relief.
You need to be patient. Hopefully that would help. Feel free to write back in case of further queries.
