What Causes Headache Followed By Painful Jaw?
Migraine trigger / sinuses problem.
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking!
I read your question and i understand your concern. Headaches and siuses involvement could be salmon related or it could be a separate entity. If you have a history of migraine headaches then salmon you ate in olive oil is the trigger. Salmon releases sufur which dilates blood vessels to the head and trigger migraine.
Also the sinuses involvement are likely the reason of this or could be a sinus problem on its own like sinusitis, clogged sinuses or recent cold or flu as all of them lead to sinuses inflammation and that nay cause the headache.
There is only one way to know. if the headache responded to some doses of acetaminophen and rest then it was salmon. If it persisted and it worsens on changing postures like bowing down ahead etc then its sinuses and needs an otorhinolaryngologist for the prescription of sinuses meds. But i am sure it woont come to that as to me it looks like just a trigger of migraine to me.
Here is a list of some other migraine triggers for future references and should be avoided / minimised.
Alcohol - Particularly wine and beer
Caffeine overuse or caffeine withdrawal
Chocolate
Aspartame - eg, NutraSweet and Equal
Monosodium glutamate (MSG) - May be found in Asian food, canned soup, frozen or processed foods, and the seasoning product Accent
Fruits - Citrus fruits, bananas, avocados, and dried fruit
Nuts - Peanuts, soy nuts, and soy sauce
Tyramine, a biogenic amine that accumulates in food as it ages, may provoke migraine. Sources include the following:
Dairy - Aged cheese
Meat - Bacon, sausage, luncheon meat, deli meat, pepperoni, and smoked or cured meat
Pickled foods
Heavily yeasted breads - Eg, sourdough
Vinegars - Especially wine vinegar
Some types of beans
Nutraceuticals shown to be effective in randomized clinical trials include the aforementioned vitamin B2, CoQ-10, magnesium, and butterbur (Petadolex)
I hoep ot helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discusison please.

I appreciate the frankness . No you can use fish oil supplements. They are good and have anti oxidant properties. And every antioxidant helps the headaches. Sore throat itself might have a role here as recent throat infections trigger the headache too. COmply with the medicine and it should not be a problem for long.
Keep a diet plan and know all those foods which triggers an allergy or trouble. A consult to a dietitian in this regard for a dietary plan would be wise.
Take care.
