What Causes Heart Palpitations, Right Sided Stomach Pain And Hot Flashes?

Question: I have been having constant heart palpitations, right sided stomach pain, barely able to eat anything, constant heat flashes, and constant burping with non stop mucus in throat for 10 days straight.
Went to the ER twice had EKG, Chest X-Ray, CBC and Differential, CT ABD and Pelvis W Contrast, Comprehensive Metabolic Panel, and Lipase Blood tests done. The doctors think it is a stomach virus but I am not convinced because I have not vomited, no fever, and no diarrhea.

Brief Answer:
pantoprazole
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through the details you have provided. From your description and your symptoms seem to be related to dyspepsia ( due to acid peptic disease).
I usually suggest treatment with pantoprazole and domperidone for 4 weeks In case your symptoms persist the next step would be to get an upper GI endoscopy.
I would get a TSH test done in case it was not included in the metabolic panel.
You should avoid
Fried foods
Carbonated drinks
Mint and chocolate flavoured food
Red meat
Tobacco in any form
Avoid lying down for 3 hours after meals
Alcohol
Hope this helps
Do get back in case you have further queries

pantoprazole and domperidone for 4 weeks are these over the counter or prescription?
Or would I have to make an appointment with a Gastroenterologist doctor to make him do these tests?

Ahh Thank you very much I will start taking Prilosec( Omeprazole magnesium ) OTC to see if it reduces or stops the problems.
Also, I use to be an avid Soda pop drinker in my teen years combined with non stop spicy foods could this be the origin of the problem. I stopped all of these bad habits at age 20.
Also, does Cheese products makes it worse?
