What Causes Heartbeat To Go Down To 56 Bpm When Lying Down?
Question: Heartbeat goes down to 56 bpm when laying down at night, is this normal? Also bp is about 110 over 75 avg.
Brief Answer:
Yes, this is normal.
Detailed Answer:
I am Dr Anshul Varshney.
I understand your concern.
Yes this is normal.
During rest or in deep sleep, heart rate and BP reduces. Heart rate of 56 beats per minute and BP you have mentioned at rest are normal, if you are asymptomatic. But if you have any problems, you need to get workup done.
I need to know if you get any problems like vertigo, dizziness, and blackouts.
In case, you have no complains then these readings are normal.
If you have any further query please ask me.

Yes doctor i get vertigo and been to doctors before, but they tell me its just my anxiety.
Brief Answer:
Get an ECG done.
Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend.
If you feel you have problems, then simply get an ECG done. It will rule out any possible problems. Moreover your ECG would be done in lying down position, so it will calculate your exact heart rate too.
Get an ECG done and send it to me.
Stay Healthy.
