What Causes Heat Intolerance, Perspiration And Pounding Heart Inspite Of Normal Thyroid Result?

Question: Hi I had a history of hyperthyroidism, I diagnosed in 2006 and took neomercazol tab till 2009/10(starting with 30mg/day then decreasing to 10/5 mg/day. After that whenever I tested T3,T4,TSH report was normal , but I have been feeling some symptoms some time like - heat intolerance, perspiration, thumping of heart (pulse is 68/72/80 per min), trembling in hand, lack of concentration, low libido, leg pain. These symptoms come and disappear in a single day sometime and remains for a day sometime. I also don't feel any swelling in neck. my recent report test done on 8 april 2014 says:
TOTAL TRIIODOTHYRONINE (T3) C.L.I.A 88 ng/dl 60 - 200
TOTAL THYROXINE (T4) C.L.I.A 8.8 µg/dl 4.5 - 12.0
THYROID STIMULATING HORMONE (TSH) C.L.I.A 1.10 µIU/ml 0.30 - 5.5
and reported alert of hypochromia since i have low hb - 10.7 and iron 20 µg/dl.
I am 31yr 6 month old male , with weight of around 65 kg, height 173 cm.
Could you please advise what should I do? I feel very embarrassing due to these symptoms.
Brief Answer:
Still have signs of adrenergic drive
Detailed Answer:
hi,
Your thyroid reports are normal.
The explanations for persisting symptoms are
1. you still have signs of adrenergic drive, a clasical symptom of hyperthyroidism. This may happen after treatment for thyrotoxicosis.
2. you have anemia. very low transferrin saturation and serum iron indicate that your cells are struggling to get good oxygenation for your height and weight.
you can take adrenergic blockers like propranolol (you might have already used it)
you should take good iron supplements. Hb at 14, you will feel much better.
hope i am clear.
