Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.
The pain you are experiencing is more likely to be associated with osteoporosis and musculoskeletal pain. Musculoskeletal pain is severe, may last hours even days and is relieved by NSAID ( advil ).
However, if the pain increase its intensity, or it's not relieved by advil you should go to ER to exclude other possible causes of your symptoms (especially cardiac problems ).
Hope this was of help !
Wish you health!

Dr. Shehu,
I am NOT feeling any pain... but a heaviness in my chest...
THAT DOES NOT ENABLE ME TO SLEEP.
I have had very little sleep for the past four nights already.

Hi back,
No matter how you perceived as heavines, discomfort or pain, in medical terms it's called chest pain or chest discomfort.
In your case as I said earlier it's more likely to be related to osteoporosis. If you were my patient I would recommend to do the following examinations in order to exclude other cause to your chest discomfort (pain) :
- blood work
- ecg
- cardiac echo
- chest xray
- abdominal ultrasound
Since you are in Canada and you may not do all these examinations there you may postpone them when you come back home.
Only if the heavines and discomfort increase its intensity you should go to ER (as i said earlier ).
Wish you health!

Is there any medication I could take so I could at least get some sleep?
I have not had any sleep (except cat naps) for FOUR nights already and I feel so very groggy.... I might not even be able to go back to the United States.
