Brief Answer:
Delayed menopause needs to be investigated
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, thanks for the information.I understand your concern.
In my opinion usually menopause sets in between 47 to 50 years of age.
Delayed menopause normally is seen in case of healthy people.
Abnormal causes for delayed menopause is seen in fibroids, endometrial pathologies like carcinoma .
So I suggest you to get an ultrasound done to rule out the fibroids.
And endometrial pathologies can be ruled out by D&C.D&C is a procedure where endometrium is scraped and it is sent for histopathological examination.
You can take tab.Tranexamic acid 500 mg twice or three times a day for 3 to 5 days to stop the bleeding temporarily.
D&C also helps to decrease bleeding. You can even go directly to D&C as it is both diagnostic and therapeutic.
Cervical abnormalities also should be ruled out in case of post coital bleeding. So pap smear and cervical biopsy might be needed.
So I suggest you to get ultrasound,D&C,pap smear and cervical biopsy to rule out the abnormalities causing delayed menopause and post coital bleeding.
If everything is normal we can assume that menopausal delay is purely physiological and heavy bleeding is due to hormonal imbalance seen during premenopausal phase.
My aim is not to make you tense madam Iam trying to explain you the different conditions.
Hope this satisfies your query.
Feel free to discuss furthur.
