What Causes Heavy Vaginal Bleeding With Large Clots?
Question: Hi. I've been having vaginal bleeding for the last 3 weeks. Started out spotting then extremely heavy with large clotting, where I've used up 7 maternity pads in one day (and still leaked) to currently a light period. I have a history of spotting mid cycle and abnormal Pap smears (I've had 3 in the last 3.5 years.), as well being told that my right ovary has too many follicles, that it'll be hard for me to fall pregnant. I recently went to have an internal ultrasound to be told there's a shadow in my uterus which needs to be followed up. I'm only 23, so I'm not too concerned and my gynaecologist appointment is next week. What would your suspicions be?
Brief Answer:
ultrasound report
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX I understand your health concerns.
Yes it needs immediate attention as in your age the most probably It is due to some myomatous polyp of the uterine cavity.
I would like to see the report of ultrasound to give you a better diagnosis and further management.
In my opinion visit your gynecologist as scheduled and most probably she will examine you and assess the further treatment which is most probably a minor currettage or hysteroscopy guided removal of the lesion.
Just update me your report and we can discuss the further management.
All the best.
