What Causes Hemorrhagic Ovarian Cyst?

default
Posted on Thu, 9 Apr 2015
Question: I have recently been told I have a hemorrhagic ovarian cyst and need to go have another ultrasound in 6 weeks. I am 39 and hoping to get pregnant within the next three months. My doctor said this may make getting pregnant difficult but everything I have read says otherwise....any insight would be great, I am healthy, non-smoker and have no other medical issues. Thanks, N.

Brief Answer:
Please upload your ultrasound report.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing to us about it.

I can understand your concern.

Hemorrhagic cyst are usually functional cyst and they will not affect fertility.

They are normally resolved by its own in 2-3 months, but if they become enlarged in size, they may cause infertility.

As, you mentioned that you are having fibroid also, please upload your ultrasound report, then I will give you a better opinion because fibroid may also cause infertility.

Hoping to hear from you soon.

Regards

You can try for 6 months using your most fertile d

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I can see your concern here because you are 39 yrs. of age and having a cyst and fibroid, you are thinking that the opportunities of pregnancy are less in your case.

The cumulative probabilities of pregnancy in your case is 60% if you are using your most fertile period.

You should try for natural conception at least for 6 months( if you are applying your most fertile period) before going for any fertility treatment.

You should begin taking folic acid tablets.

Do not take any stress, perform some yoga and meditation.

Eat a balanced and healthy diet.

Do some exercise and keep your weight.

Do not smoke and do not drink excessively.

Alternate days sex and use your most fertile days( day 11-16th day of your cycle).

You can use ovulation kit to know your ovulation and fertile period accordingly.

Hope it is useful, feel free to discuss more.
Regards
