What Causes Her Hand And Lower Forearm To Be So Cold?
Question: My daughter left work because her left arm is sore...mainly at the elbow but traveling. The weird thing is the splotching reddish color and the fact that from her elbow down is noticeably colder than the rest of her. What would be causing her hand and lower forearm to be so cold? Is there something we can or should do?

I have gone through your query and understand your concern. It seems to be not a major problem . But as see has a discolouration of part and cold arm distal to elbow, this point toward some circulation problem. She is actively exercising fingers, it is correct and continue with it. You can check pulse and compare in both arms. If pulse is feeble in effected arm then it indicate some circulatory problem. I think you should visit a doctor as you may need arteriography and venogram to see circulation of arm.
You can discuss with your doctor about it. I wanted to know whether she has swelling and/ or pain also or just discolouration and coldness.

She has moderate pain in her elbow no swelling....do you recommend any hot or cold treatments? She does not recollect hurting herself.
