What Causes High Heart Rate, breathlessness And Muscle Cramps After Exercises?
Question: if someone has been doing exercises and experiences high heart rate, breathless, cramps, very sweaty and yet did not have breakfast in the morning but only a glass of water, how would you explain the physiological mechanism of the above effects?
Brief Answer:
This is the normal response of the body.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for using Healthcare Magic. The symptoms you describe are the normal physiological response to exercise. When exercising, the muscles require more oxygen. Therefore the heart has to work harder to supply this oxygen by increasing the blood flow. Hence the increase in heart rate. If the muscles need more oxygen than is suppied then cramp will occur. All this generates heat and sweating is the body's attempt to cool itself. I hope this is of help. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
