What Causes High Systolic Blood Pressure?
SYSTOLIC AND DIALISTIC BLOOD PRESSURE READINGS.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for asking on HCM!
Regarding your concern, I would like to explain that in more advanced ages, it is normal fo to frequetly find increased puose pressure difference, as blo( blood vessels become more rigid, decreasing arterial wall compliance. This leads to an increased systolic blood pressure.
Another reason for these BP finding is a possible thyroiuh gland dysfunction.
If clinical suspicion are raised., thyroid function tests would be helpful.
Besides, an aortic valve regurgitation may be responsible for the increased pulse pressure difference.
A careful physical examination by your doctor (cardiac auscultation ) and a cardiac ultrasound would be able to clarify this issue.
You have to discuss with your doctor about the above mentioned issues.
Hope to have been helpful!
Feel free to ask anyother questions whenever you need!
