What Causes High White Blood Cell Count And Anemia?
Question: My wife has high white blood cell count and anemia, ultra sound shows masses in the pelvic area and inlarged lymph nodes. she is under a dr care but the no answers yet

High white blood cells means there is infection somewhere in the body.
Anemia is due low hemoglobin.Either it can be related to diet or blood loss.Is she bleeding from somewhere? Even excess periods can lead to anemia.

She is not bleeding anywhere she has lost 40+ lbs has high suger now low iron ,and she is not on anti biotics , and as you know by being a Dr /// they just dont give you a ultra sound report to walk out of the Dr office with.she does have pain and discomfert in the stomach and bowl area. she is going to have a CT scan in a day or two.

But with these facts I am worried about cancer in pelvis.Ideal investigation for this is generally MRI, but CT scan will also do.
Anemia and loss of weight can be due to mass itself.
Pain in stomach and bowel region can be due enlarged nodes and extension lesion in these areas.
If scan is unable to reach diagnosis, she might need biopsy or a PET scan.
After the investigations treatment options would be suggested to you.
