Question: I caught a cold on Monday and I took over the counter medications like Tylenol and I got better. Today morning, I felt my voice is changing, and as of now, my voice is slowly fading. I am working in an office which i answer calls and need my voice to talk. I need my voice back. What can I do for it?

Brief Answer:
Add short course of steroids!

Detailed Answer:
HI,

You most probably have laryngitis, a viral infection. Antibiotics do no good and steroids for voice recovery are only recommended if you must use your voice. Seen your job description, I will suggest that you get short course of prednisone 20mg daily for three days. This will accelerate the voice recovery. NO other treatment is necessary.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
