What Causes Hot Feeling In Lower Abdomen And Acid Like Burning Sensation?

Question: My lower left abdomen feels hot.. I have it in the evenings. I had acid like burning sensation few days back . I stopped eating spicy food.. and am taking zinetac and Sucroflate . The acid feeling has stopped. But I am getting this burning sensation now in the evenings . sometimes it feels numb .. it goes after sometime. Do I need to be worried

I appreciate your concern, you need not to worry at all.

Looking at your description this can be related to Acid peptic disease like gastritis or peptic ulcer due to stomach hyperacidity which has reduced now after taking zintec and sucralfate,

You might have developed a ulcer which takes time to heal completely

Another possibility is heart or chest wall disease which can be ruled out if you can answer my these questions
Duration of illness?
Is it associated with chest pain or sweating or any breathing difficulties?
Do you smoke?

meanwhile you should avoid fried and spicy food
Have lots of fresh fruits and vegetables
Lemon water, curd and other diary products are advisable.

Thank You doctor for the reply. I am still having the numb and burning feeling . I will follow as per your advice. I had mouth ulcers on the left cheek about 2 weeks back. I am addicted to spicy food . I have been having the left side pain for the past 3 or 4 days . I don't have any breathing difficulties , sweating and donot smoke. But my side is burning up and why is it only in the evenings

This could be due to peptic ulcer and it appears throughout the day but may aggravate in evening with increase in stomach acidity.

I would like to whether you feel heaviness in stomach or nauseated?
How's your appetite and how.does it behave with food intake
I mean does it increase with food or decreases?
doses of zintec?

Please follow the dietary restrictions and you can increase the doses of zinetac if it's not adequate

Thank you doctor for your answer. I am starting to feel better and am much relieved . I do still have that slight burning and more of a numbness at night . But in the morning its gone. I am usually bloated at night, but that has reduced after the change in diet. I have normal appetite . I am taking one zintec every night before food and the sucrafil syrup whenever I feel burning pain . I am having my periods now . Is it okay to take meds during this ?
