What Causes Hypersensitivity On Penis Head?

Question: The head of my penis is hypersensitive and is driving me crazy. I had a series of prostate massages from my urologist but they did no good and he doesn't know what to do with me. I have been told this is Genital Dysathesia but I don't know how to treat it.
Do you have any suggestions?

I appreciate your concern.

Local examination of the tip of the penis is required, clean it with diluted antiseptic or normal saline. Search for an irritant or foreign body or any dirt should be done thoroughly.

A moist wick of antibiotic plus corticosteroid should be applied inside out after taking a swab for culture and sensitivity.

You may take Gabapentin 300 mg tds and B 12 plus zinc supplements. Cranberry juice extracts to alkalinize the urine should also be taken to alleviate your symptoms. Amytriptilline is also useful in this regard.

Get the following investigations done in consult with your doctor
Complete blood count, CRP. serum PSA
Urine for Routine analysis and culture sensitivity

The problem is either neurologic or vascular. Penile ultrasound and duplex doppler, enables characterization of arterial and venous blood flow with in the erect penis. It also allows for a detailed survey of the corpora cavernosa to identify calcification or scarring inside the tissue of the penis.
