General Surgeon 's  Response
It is due to circulation of blood.Deoxygenated blood from the body is pumped out by the heart (Rt. ventricle) to the lungs through pulmonary artery for oxygenation(purification). Oxygenated blood from the lungs goes to the heart through pulmonary veins for its onwards supply to the body.
