In tumor microenvironment there are many cells and pathways going on. On one hand there are Treg cells which inhibit immunity/inflammation. On another hand are proinflammatory cells and helper T cells. The balance determines the level of inflammation and prognosis.
In general, infiltrating tumor lymphocytes are dissociated with better prognosis in cancer.
