What Causes Inter Menstrual Bleeding?

Question: i am a 44 year old female. I am not due to start my period until the 11th of September, the last 3 mornings i have gotten up and there was blood in the toilet when i first use the restroom so i have been using a tampon but there is nothing on the tampon. Any ideas

Hello
This is most likely inter menstrual bleeding likely due to peri menopause given your age . Use a tampon if you want . But if its just spotting then it may not be soiled . Hormone imbalance is the commonest cause . If you are perimenopausal then you may have inter menstrual bleeding . Sometimes urine mixed with blood is seen early morning in case of infection . So watch out for dark colored urine .

should i seek medical treatment to see if i could possibly have an infection and the blood may possibly be in my urine. No dark colored urine so far
