Brief Answer:
Sounds like BPPV

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your message.
I think I can help you.
The symptoms of the query are quite suggestive of a possible positionAl vertigo. in short it's called BPPV. The characteristic symptom is vertigo on tilting head.
I suggest testing a MRI to rule out more serious conditions like stroke. An ENT opinion should also be sought.
Meanwhile a prescription for betahistidine should be able to help you.
I have tried to make it as simple as possible. I hope that the information contained in this message will be able to help you find the best solution for your problem. Best of luck. Dr Mittal.

along with the possible bppv, it seems that when my sympton started I also started getting pain in my right shoulder. could this be related ? I walk fine vision good -no unbalance of any sort! I do lift sometimes small crates and antiques during the day but I do find myself tired more since this vertigo started 2 weeks ago .. could this all be from possible bppv or something else?Is there a over the counter med for bppy? Thank you for your help XXXXXXX Daybook YYYY@YYYY

Brief Answer:
Arrhythmia have to be considered

Detailed Answer:
With that added history I would suggest ruling out arrhythmia.
Ideally you would need a Holter monitoring for this.
I therefore recommend that you meet a cardiologist for the same.
And the best medicine for BPPV is betahistidine.
Most often the pharmacy does not cause problems. I hope that the information contained in this message will be able to help you find the best solution for your problem. Best of luck. Dr Mittal

Dr Mittal based on what Ive reported and your information do you feel I can rule out anything neurological ?? are you suggesting I may have arrhythmia or bppv? I do take a beta block for high blood pressure for 10 yrs and as I say . Ive had this before , this time seems a little longer though. I thank you for your help I am going to schedule appointment with my doctor..

Brief Answer:
Specific information

Detailed Answer:
BPPV is a neurological / ENT problem.
As of now neither can be excluded.
Cardiology evaluation is more important since it can be life threatening.
Beta blockers themselves are known to cause arrhythmia.
I hope that answers you.
